JAMES BARLOW’S ‘STEALS OF THE MONTH’ FOR MAY 2018 AND YOUR NEW OFFICAL BURGUNDY WINE AMBASSADOR!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am pleased to announce that I passed the rigorous Bourgogne (Burgundy) Ambassador Program proctored by the BIVB (Burgundy Wine Board).  I am now 1 of 60 Bourgogne Wine Ambassadors in the world!  It was a grueling, but extremely educational week.  I am finally having some time to spend on putting together my Bordeaux 2017 report, so expect that in the coming weeks as well as a blog on my observations in Bourgogne.  Now for the Steals….

Roblar Sauvignon Blanc 2016

California

Cash Price $9.99

Ripe and succulent, this hot heat-loving white is a perfect match to your holiday parties.  Flavors of citrus, white peach and guava blend into light, yet sturdy acidity.  Completely unoaked.  James Score: 88 Points

Le Versant Rose 2017

Pays d’Oc, France

Cash Price $8.99

This 100% Grenache is dry and bursting with supple red fruits.  Red Cherries, raspberries, and red roses flow into medium acids and licks of tannin.  Fresh and inviting!  James Score: 89 Points

Novecento Malbec 2017

Mendoza, Argentina

Cash Price $8.49

From the house of Dante Robino comes this easy, accessible food-friendly red wine.  It’s 100% Malbec with notes of violets, plum and currant that sink into medium acids and tannins.  James Score: 87 Points

Thank You,

James C. Barlow, CWE,CSS
